We are currently in search of a Payroll & Benefits Administrator for our oil and gas client located in downtown Calgary. This position reports directly to the HR Manager and personality fit is going to be an important factor. The right person for this position will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a positive and enthusiastic "can-do" attitude.
The following provide an overview of the responsibilities of this role:
Processing semi-monthly payroll for salary, hourly and consulting employees.
Review and ensure the accuracy of time cards submitted.
Run reports from the payroll system to ensure accuracy of data, balance and reconciliation of each pay period.
Entry of all employee changes, including new hires and terminations.
Prepare ROEs and submit to Service Canada.
Create and maintain files for all employees.
Administer employee benefits plan including enrollment of new hires.
Assisting with on-boarding
Submitting WCB information on a timely basis for Alberta and BC
Other ad-hoc projects and reports as needed.
Qualifications required for success in this position:
Five years of payroll administration experience
Experience with ADP Work Force Now
Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry considered an asset
Ability to build good working relationships with different levels of management within the organization.
Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively.
Must have strong skills working in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong written and communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
